Our office, a short drive away in Oxnard, is open on Saturdays and Sundays for emergency dental care, so you can get out of pain without waiting until the work week.

Getting Here From Camarillo
Head west on US-101 toward Oxnard. Old Town, Spanish Hills, Mission Oaks, Las Posas Estates and the CSU Channel Islands area (ZIP codes 93010 and 93012) are about 15 to 20 minutes away, depending on traffic.
Parking is free and on-site, and the building is wheelchair-accessible.
Students coming from the CSUCI campus can call ahead and we'll walk you through what to bring: a photo ID, your insurance card if you're on a parent's plan, and the name of any medication you've taken for the pain. If someone else is driving you, they're welcome to wait in our lobby.

When to Go to the ER Instead
For spreading facial swelling, trouble breathing or swallowing, or a jaw injury, go to St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital in Camarillo or call 911.
For everything tooth-related, call us. Hospital ERs can manage pain and infection, but they can't repair a broken tooth, replace a crown or treat the nerve.

Dr. Ette Ntekim is a British-trained dentist with more than 20 years of comprehensive and surgical dentistry. He handles everything from root canals and extractions to same-day crowns in our Oxnard office, so most weekend emergencies are treated by the same experienced dentist from start to finish.

About 15 to 20 minutes west on US-101 from most of Camarillo, depending on traffic. Free parking is available on-site.
My regular Camarillo dentist is closed this weekend. Can you help?
Yes. We see non-patients for emergencies on Saturday and Sunday. After we treat you, we can give you copies of your X-rays and treatment notes to share with your regular dentist for follow-up care.
Can a cracked tooth wait until next week?
If it hurts when you bite or release, or it's sensitive to cold that lingers, the crack may be reaching the nerve. Treating it this weekend often saves the tooth and avoids a root canal.
Do you see CSU Channel Islands students for dental emergencies?
Yes. Students are welcome for weekend emergency visits. Call us, and we'll check any dental insurance you have and go over payment options with you.
